Orchestra Macaroon is
Seriously Scottish! (officially)

Arriving In Oban (Track 1 on Breakfast in Balquhidder) has been selected by The Scottish Music Centre for their Seriously Scottish Live initiative, nuzzling shoulders with the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Aberfeldy, Aly Bain
and Tommy Smith.

Seriously Scottish LIVE! brings you a selection of the very best music made in Scotland today.

The official launch took place on March 16th 2005 at South by South West, an annual international multimedia and music convention in Austin, Texas. The player is a three hour streamed loop of music that allows online access to a broad selection of Scotland's finest music.

The radio player will be promoted at key industry events, where the Scottish Music Centre's previous ventures - 3 double CD volumes of Seriously Scottish released between 2000 and 2004, were distributed (resulting in a considerable amount of international airplay, artist collaboration, distribution and album deals, increased awareness of featured artists and labels, as well as providing an impressive overview of the Scottish music scene).

The player follows on as the natural progression for the Centre and, unlike the CD compilations which had a targeted distribution, will allow access for all.

Venture in and out the stream to find out what's happening in the music of Scotland, and watch out for regular updates throughout the year.

Seriously Scottish LIVE! will ensure the global promotion of Scottish music to all.

Colin Blakey of Orchestra Macaroon:
We are delighted that Arriving in Oban has been included in this exciting new initiative, which showcases such a broad spectrum of Scottish music.
