Fringe Dreams Come True
For La Fille du Cirque

Edinburgh Fringe 2004 began disastrously for stunning Irish/French singer
Camille O'Sullivan. 3 weeks before the start, in a headlining slot, she suddenly found herself without
a venue when the Wigwam venue collapsed. At the last minute she found a new venue in a different
kind of tent - The Famous Spiegeltent. She made a big impact with just a few shows, with rave reviews
and ecstatic audiences.

One member of the audience was Ewan Bremner - aka Spud from the hit film Trainspotting - was so
impressed that he got straight on the phone to film director Stephen Frears, who was looking for an
actor to play a burlesque chanteuse in his new film Mrs Henderson Presents, about the rise of the
Windmill Theatre.

Fast forward to summer 2005 and the former award-winning architect is hoping her luck has changed.
Mrs Henderson Presents
- in which Camille is featured as Will Young's partner, and which stars
Dame Judi Dench
and Bob Hoskins - is scheduled for release later this year. She also fulfilled her
dream of running away with the circus when she wowed crowds at The Famous Spiegeltent at the
Melbourne International Festival in November.

Edinburgh Fringe 2005 sees her back in her adopted home at the Spiegel Garden, for 3 weeks, with
a new show which has been thrilling audiences from Brighton (Best Music of the Festival Award) to
The Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

La Fille du Cirque is Camille at her best - sexy and passionate, amusing and mesmerising - as she
performs songs by contemporary writers including Nick Cave, Tom Waits and David Bowie… and
maybe just a few of her favourite songs by Jacques Brel. Her 4-piece band includes leading Scottish
musicians and regular collaborators John Rae on drums and Mario Caribe on double bass.

Camille will also be performing in the fabulous late night Spiegeltent show - La Clique - Un Spectacle Sensuel.
